Healthy shopping at Eurospin Italy: what to buy on a budget

By the GetYourMacros team · 13 October 2026

Mozzarella LAND (500 g) costs €2.25 with 40 g of protein per euro in the 8–18 October 2026 flyer, while dried chickpeas (360 g) stand at a full price of €0.85 with 82 g per euro in the 10–20 September flyer. If you want healthy shopping at Eurospin, the rule is simple: track how many grams of protein each euro delivers, and check the date. Every figure below comes directly from Eurospin's official digital flyers for September and October 2026, without estimated values. Below, you will find protein sources on promotion and at full price, the cheapest carbohydrates, gluten-free and lactose-free options, and a direct price comparison with Lidl.

Where these prices come from

Every figure here comes from Eurospin's official national digital flyer across two promotions: 10–20 September 2026 and 8–18 October 2026. The September promotion listed 237 food products, with 141 showing the full price printed next to the offer. The October promotion featured 221 products, including 127 food items. There are no estimated numbers here: full prices refer strictly to what appears on the page. Where the flyer omits a full price, the text notes the flyer price directly.

To measure true value, we assess protein per euro by dividing total grams of protein in the pack by its price, based on average values per 100 g. We use the same thresholds as our Lidl guide. Getting above 25 g of protein per euro is a bargain. Between 15 and 25 g is average. Below 15 g, you buy it for the taste.

Remember that Eurospin prices can change from store to store and offers last only a few days. Always check the shelf tag before putting an item in your basket.

Protein on offer at Eurospin, 8–18 October 2026

In the 8–18 October 2026 flyer, Mozzarella LAND costs €2.25 for 500 g and yields 40 g of protein per euro. That places it well above our 25 g threshold for a real bargain. Other strong dairy picks among the Eurospin offers include Pascoli Italiani grated Italian cheese (100 g for €0.89, giving 39 g of protein per euro) and shredded Emmental LAND at €1.49 for 200 g (38 g per euro). For leaner meals, the Ondina South African hake fillet loins cost €3.49 for 400 g, providing 21 g per euro at just 82 kcal per 100 g.

Cheese offers plenty of protein for very little money, but it also brings fat. The grated cheese contains 400 kcal per 100 g, so you need to weigh portions carefully to avoid overshooting your daily limits. When you need leaner macros on a strict budget, compare other cheap protein options first.

What protein costs at full price

Dried chickpeas (360 g) deliver 82 g of protein per euro at €0.85 in the 10–20 September flyer. When the discounts end, these figures show which staples stay good value.

Roasted salted peanuts (750 g) sit right behind legumes at €2.99 in the 10–20 September flyer, offering 63 g per euro, though fat provides most of their calories. At the opposite end, an 80 g pack of bresaola (punta d'anca) costs €2.99 in the same promotion, providing just 9 g per euro.

Tracking these numbers shows you when to stock up. A 500 g pack of mozzarella shifts from 40 g of protein per euro at its €2.25 promotional rate to 31 g at full price (€2.89 in the 8–18 October flyer). Even without a promotion, it remains well above the 25 g threshold for a bargain.

Carbs: pasta, rice, flour and potatoes

Tre Mulini pasta in the 1.5 kg pack costs €0.22 per 1,000 kcal (€1.19 in the 10–20 September flyer). Alongside Tre Mulini pizza and focaccia flour (€0.26 per 1,000 kcal at the full price of €0.89, or €0.69 on offer in the 8–18 October flyer), these are the cheapest calories in the two flyers. Comparing staples like pasta and rice shows Carnaroli rice Delizie dal Sole is far dearer, coming in at €0.86 per 1,000 kcal at its full price of €2.99 (€1.99 on offer in the 8–18 October flyer).

If you are bulking, these carbohydrate sources keep your costs down. To balance your meals, the 8–18 October flyer also featured these vegetables:

Gluten-free and lactose-free: how much more they cost

In the Eurospin gluten-free range, pasta costs €1.09 for 500 g (€2.18 per kg) in the 8–18 October flyer, compared to €1.70 per kg for standard bronze-die pasta at full price in the same promotional period.

Dairy alternatives also carry a clear surcharge. Lactose-free cooking cream is listed at €1.39 for 300 ml (€4.63 per litre) in the 8–18 October flyer, whereas standard LAND UHT cooking cream cost €3.75 per litre at full price in the 10–20 September flyer. Lactose-free high-digestibility UHT milk is on offer at €0.99 for 1 l (€1.29 full price) between 8 and 18 October, compared with €0.65 per litre for standard LAND semi-skimmed UHT milk in the 10–20 September flyer.

These comparisons require honest context because the products differ. Gluten-free country bread at €2.49 for 250 g (€9.96 per kg in the 8–18 October flyer) is fundamentally distinct from standard sandwich loaf at €2.12 per kg at full price in the 10–20 September flyer. For anyone with coeliac disease or an intolerance the choice is not about price; these figures simply show what to expect at the till.

Eurospin or Lidl? The same products in the October flyers

Across seven products found in both chains' October 2026 flyers, Eurospin is cheaper per kg on 4 and Lidl on 3. Consider high-quality cooked ham: Eurospin offers 150 g for €1.39, which equals €9.27 per kg in the 9–11 October flyer. Lidl charges the same €1.39 for just 100 g, pushing the cost to €13.90 per kg in the 8–14 October flyer.

For sharp Provolone Valpadana PDO, the advantage flips. Eurospin lists 250 g for €2.29, or €9.16 per kg in the 8–18 October flyer. Lidl sells a larger 300 g pack for the same €2.29, coming down to €7.63 per kg in the 15–18 October flyer.

Deciding between Eurospin or Lidl comes down to what you put in your basket. Pack sizes differ and discount dates rarely match, so checking the price per kg remains essential. If you shop at both discounters, read our guide on healthy shopping at Lidl to plan your trips effectively.
